Mr. Udar Nath Pradhan and Mrs. Tara Devi Pradhan lived in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India throughout their life. Mr. Udar Nath Pradhan was born in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, India and Mrs. Tara Devi Pradhan was born in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Mr. Udar Nath Pradhan was an attorney at District Court and High Court, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. Mrs. Tara Devi Pradhan was a homemaker. They had five children. Their most important lessons to their children were to work hard, live an honest life and contribute to society.
They visited the USA in 1992. They appreciated the higher education system in this country.
This scholarship was established in their memory by their son, Dr. Shekhar Pradhan, and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Savita Pradhan, and grandchildren.
The scholarship will be awarded to anyone who meets the criteria as per the Scholarship Application and is a descendant of Indian origin.
